Voiding a transaction allows you to cancel a payment before it’s settled in the daily batch. It’s ideal for correcting mistakes immediately after a sale. If the transaction has already been settled, you’ll need to process a refund instead. To cancel or void a transaction on your PAX terminal, follow the steps below.
- Open the Payment app from the main menu of the terminal.
- Tap the Transaction history tab (located at the bottom of the screen, second icon from the left).
- Select the transaction you wish to cancel or void.
- Click Reversal and then confirm with OK.
- Review the transaction details and tap Void. A confirmation message will appear.
- A void receipt will print automatically. Hand it to the customer or retain it for your records.
